Formal training in traditional building repairs working alongside the College of West Anglia

The College of West Anglia is one of the largest post-16 education providers in the east of England. It operates from three campuses in King’s Lynn, Cambridge and Wisbech. One of the main curriculum areas at the CWA Isle Campus in Wisbech is construction training, within the Faculty of Technology.

Working with the College of West Anglia, The Wisbech High Street Project is funding an exciting training programme of repairs. With the opportunity to work on the historic Grade II listed former chapel at Mount Pleasant Road, we will be giving students the opportunity to learn from trained and experienced craftsmen in a range of areas including stonemasonry, roof repairs, plastering and painting and decorating.

The work is planned for Summer 2019 (subject to CWA timetables) and there will be opportunities for the public to come and see the students at work.
